Hello

Welcome to West Knox Behavioral Health

A private group psychotherapy practice offering in person and virtual therapy services in the Knoxville community.

Amy Massaglia, LCSW

Hi, I'm Amy Massaglia, LCSW and owner of West Knox Behavioral Health.

I’ve spent over 25 years working in a wide range of mental health settings, and I draw on that experience — along with my training from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work — to support adults through life’s challenges with compassion and clarity.

My approach blends a warm, genuine therapeutic relationship with evidence-based practices that help you understand your emotions, build resilience, and create meaningful change. I want you to feel safe, heard, and supported from the moment you walk through the door.

I specialize in working with adults navigating stress, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and relationship or family concerns. I’m also extensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) through Marsha Linehan’s Behavioral Tech team, and I love teaching skills like mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

At West Knox Behavioral Health, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, more in control, and more connected to the life you want to live.

Lauren Wilson, LMSW

Hi, I’m Lauren!  I work with adults, couples, and teens who feel stuck, down, anxious, or disconnected from themselves and others.

As a compassionate therapist, I specialize in guiding individuals through life transitions - whether you’re struggling with family, exploring personal growth, navigating conflict, wanting to deepen relationships, or facing life's challenges. I prefer to bring my client’s own passion and strengths into the therapy space to enrich and personalize their therapeutic experience.

My approach is warm, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices (CBT/DBT) and trauma informed care with a background in attachment therapy. Depending on my clients preferences, I like to incorporate creative approaches like journaling, art, music, guitar, or somatic therapies to strengthen the healing journey.

I have 22 years of mental health experience counseling individuals, families & children. I specialize in various issues as a generalist clinician: anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, parenting, marriage, divorce, co-parenting, grief, ADHD, self-esteem, spirituality, adoption, family conflict, parenting, infertility, pregnancy, and relationship issues.

I believe you’re reading this for a reason and my hope for you is to find relief from your pain and worry. Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re stuck in grief, burned out by life, or just ready for something more, I’d be honored to support you!

Julianna Saah, LMSW

Hi, I’m Julianna! I am a Licensed Master Social Worker providing therapy to adolescents and adults.

I have experience supporting clients through life transitions, relationship stress, identity development, grief, anxiety, depression, and a wide range of complex emotional experiences. I am passionate about working with individuals who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or “stuck” as they move through challenging circumstances or seek a deeper understanding of themselves. Whether you are navigating a major change or managing the weight of everyday stress, my goal is to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing and move toward greater clarity and resilience.

I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and affirming space for all, including clients from minority populations and those within the LGBTQ+ community. My therapeutic style is holistic and collaborative, grounded in authenticity and compassion. I draw from DBT, CBT, ACT, and psychodynamic approaches to help clients explore patterns, build coping skills, clarify values, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Finding a therapist can feel intimidating, and I honor the courage it takes to reach out. My hope is to walk alongside you, helping you make sense of what feels confusing, reduce emotional intensity, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, intentional, and fulfilling.
