Hello

Welcome to West Knox Behavioral Health

A private group psychotherapy practice offering in person and virtual therapy services in the Knoxville community.

Amy Massaglia, LCSW

Hi, I'm Amy Massaglia, LCSW and owner of West Knox Behavioral Health.

I’ve spent over 20 years working in a wide range of mental health settings, and I draw on that experience — along with my training from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work — to support adults through life’s challenges with compassion and clarity.

My approach blends a warm, genuine therapeutic relationship with evidence-based practices that help you understand your emotions, build resilience, and create meaningful change. I want you to feel safe, heard, and supported from the moment you walk through the door.

I specialize in working with adults navigating stress, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and relationship or family concerns. I’m also extensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) through Marsha Linehan’s Behavioral Tech team, and I love teaching skills like mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

At West Knox Behavioral Health, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, more in control, and more connected to the life you want to live.

Lauren Wilson, LMSW

Hi, I’m Lauren! As a compassionate therapist, I specialize in guiding individuals through pivotal life transitions – whether you’re navigating divorce, struggling with infertility, exploring personal growth, seeking to deepen relationships, or navigating life’s challenges. My approach is warm, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices and trauma informed care. I have 20 years of prior mental health experience working in adoption, foster care, embryo donation & adoption, and infertility support. I utilize a blend of connection, creativity, and intuition to help clients rebuild and thrive. I love helping people discover their inner strength, process the hard stuff, and move toward a life that feels aligned and fulfilling.

Beyond my work as a therapist, I’m a musician in a band, mom to two amazing boys, trauma-informed professional home organizer, embryo adoption expert, hiking nature explorer, and lifelong learner. This rather eclectic mix of work and life experience brings together my unique perspective to enhance my work with a wide variety of individuals. I am passionate about expressive arts therapy modalities (art, music, and movement) combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy as a tool for healing. I prefer to bring my client’s own passion and strengths into the therapy space to enrich and personalize their therapeutic experience.

Julianna Saah, LMSW

Hi, I’m Julianna! I am a Licensed Master Social Worker providing therapy to adolescents and adults.

I have experience supporting clients through life transitions, relationship stress, identity development, grief, anxiety, depression, and a wide range of complex emotional experiences. I am passionate about working with individuals who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or “stuck” as they move through challenging circumstances or seek a deeper understanding of themselves. Whether you are navigating a major change or managing the weight of everyday stress, my goal is to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing and move toward greater clarity and resilience.

I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and affirming space for all, including clients from minority populations and those within the LGBTQ+ community. My therapeutic style is holistic and collaborative, grounded in authenticity and compassion. I draw from DBT, CBT, ACT, and psychodynamic approaches to help clients explore patterns, build coping skills, clarify values, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Finding a therapist can feel intimidating, and I honor the courage it takes to reach out. My hope is to walk alongside you, helping you make sense of what feels confusing, reduce emotional intensity, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, intentional, and fulfilling.
